In 2010, he taught English to Koreans for the Asia Pacific Academic Support Service, one of the biggest ESL schools in Metro Manila. During his stay there, none of his students asked for him to be replaced. This was an achievement because they had the option of changing teachers every week. ARVIN
“Being a part of AHEAD is definitely a rewarding experience for me. AHEAD gave me opportunities to share my enthusiasm in studying and to impart knowledge to students that share the same goal with me – to excel in the academe. Not only was I able to help the students focus on their studies in a strict sense and improve their grades but I can also dynamically relate to their school life and other non-academic problems. In turn, I also learn from these problems and that makes room for my improvement and mastery of my expertise as well. AHEAD not just offers an environment suitable for strict learning, it also fosters a character-building setting for students and tutors. The entire AHEAD experience is truly fulfilling!

I initially chose to work in AHEAD because of the recommendation of a friend and to help myself gain work experience. Now I look forward to every tutorial session and the chance to help another student. AHEAD motivates me through the feeling of teamwork and by having the goal of valuing education and excellence. In every branch I had been assigned, my fellow tutors and staff members were knowledgeable in their own tasks and it’s always satisfying because the team was about helping people, specifically students, to achieve their goals. It is truly a privilege to be a tutor at AHEAD because the passion of the company in helping students is contagious and the opportunities are worthwhile. AHEAD indeed stands for its reputation! ”

“As a senior Atenean who is about to leave the portals of my beloved institution, I officially started my career life as a part-time tutor at AHEAD. I have chosen AHEAD above anything else because given its renowned reputation as the top tutorial and review center in the country, I was drawn to partake in its tradition of providing top-caliber educational support to the youth. And in my nearly one year stay in AHEAD as a working student, I could say that I have never been this grateful, delighted and fulfilled. This is because AHEAD has equipped me with appropriate training on effective teaching through interactive workshops and provided me the opportunity to impart knowledge to the kids who deserve not just better grades in school but more importantly, better lives in the future. On the reverse, it is this same opportunity that has allowed me to learn from my tutees whose unique stories of joy, curiosity and optimism in every session have rekindled the childlike-ness in me as a human person. It is in AHEAD that I have discovered my noble vocation to reach out to the youth and make a real change in the Filipino society. More power and more blessings to AHEAD! ”

JONATHAN
Graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon with a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics. He is affiliated with the UP StatSoc. “AHEAD became a venue for me to impart my God-given knowledge and skills to contribute in helping, especially, the younger generation reach their full potential.

I really had no idea about AHEAD before, I was just looking for a tutorial center which I can be part of, mainly, to gain extra income and to be able to support my studies. My application to the center was actually accidental but eventually it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. Finally, after taking the qualifying exam, actual demo and final interview, I’m now counted as one of the privileged tutors of AHEAD.

As time goes by, the thought of earning money became just a secondary goal. Every tutorial session now is different. Tutorial is no longer for learning’s sake but impressing in every student’s heart the appreciation of the importance of education. I start to become part of the life of every student I handle, making every possible way for them to perform better not just in school but also in life =) We are one big happy family in AHEAD.

With AHEAD’s one-on-one tutorial and enrichment programs, students can really concentrate, be monitored and guided effectively by their young, dynamic and well-trained tutors. Together with parents, we work hand in hand to unleash the best in their child through the student’s evaluation and progress reports. With AHEAD, you can make a difference and be ahead of others. This is us: totally different and totally ahead. More than being happy, I’m really blessed to be AHEAD!!!”
