Ms. Jane Marie Santos-Guinto
Jane Santos-Guinto graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Life and Child Development. Her interest in writing for children led her to the highly competitive MA Creative Writing program of UP Diliman.
Combining her passion for teaching and writing, Jane worked for several textbook publishing companies before joining AHEAD Learning. She has since designed training programs for various professional groups, helped develop communication and marketing tools, and participated in strategic management activities for AHEAD and its affiliate companies.
A former editorial consultant for an international online tutorial service based in Washington D.C., she is currently involved in the continuous development of AHEAD Interactive.
Ms. Florinda Mesa
Flo Mesa is one of those exceptional individuals who can synergize art, heart, and science in teaching.
An outstanding math and language student since her elementary days in Assumption College (one of the Philippines’ elite schools for girls), she has completed the country’s most competitive science programs. She was a top student of the Philippine Science High School and had qualified as a Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholar.
Flo majored in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and completed units in the MS Environmental Science program of the University of the Philippines in Diliman. When the desire to teach and make a difference in young people’s lives became too intense to ignore, she took a certification course on teaching and eventually taught at an international school in Manila. After handling elementary Math and Science students, she moved on to corporate English training as the Quality Manager of an international medical transcription company.
She is presently AHEAD’s Division Manager, making sure that instructional materials for both AHEAD and AHEAD Interactive’s students are not only updated and relevant but the best in the industry. She likewise monitors teachers and supervises client relations staff.
Mr. Yzak Vargas
Yzak has been involved in the administration of several major schools in Metro Manila. Taking part in AHEAD’s mission to create more compelling teacher development programs and educational leadership courses, he helps build strong relations with schools and other education-focused organizations. His other interests lie in community development and strategic communications.
Ms. Jenny Bonto
Jenny is an artist, teacher, facilitator, and writer. Having worked with various academic institutions, she now helps AHEAD enhance its new services to meet the changing requirements of present learners. She has been part of the Philippine Educational Theater Association Talent Bureau and of the Barasaoin Center for Innovative Education.
Mr. Joidi Tolentino
A meticulous editorial consultant, Joidi ensures that AHEAD’s instructional materials and business correspondences are error-proof, relevant, and updated. He has worked with the Center for Educational Measurement, B&M Global Services Manila, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, and Fund for Assistance to Private Education.
Mr. Art Cariaga
Art is a seasoned public relations consultant and a veteran business communicator. He has held several vital positions in the Philippines’ most prestigious organizations, serving as vice president of San Miguel Corporation; executive director of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC); and executive director of the League of Corporate Foundations. Having been with AHEAD since its inception, Art’s perceptive recommendations have been essential to the company’s rapid success. He likewise does consultancy work for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Ayala Foundation, Meralco Foundation and Lopez Group of Companies.
Ms. Jing Lejano
Jing works with AHEAD’s marketing department in crafting comprehensive and up- to-date websites, blogs, and other creative media. A prolific writer and editor, she has been a reporter of The Business Star; managing editor of Smart Parenting magazine; and most recently, the editor in chief of Good Housekeeping Philippines. Jing continues to find ways to more effectively communicate with the youth as she raises her own brood of four.
